Once again, the Morrisvale VFD will be hosting a Rural water delivery class. This class should be of particular interest due to the # of water system failures that seem to have occurred over the past few years. The class wil be held Oct. 24th & 25th at our sub-station on Rt. 3 in Alkol. Class will begin Saturday with a mix of class room and practicals. Sunday will be a tanker shuttle along with some real world scenarios. Last years drill resulted in an average flow rate of 1042 gpm for the 2 hr tanker shuttle (1204 gpm for the last 1 hr+). This was on a 2.7 mile shuttle with only 7 tankers.
We want to encourage you to attend and bring your tanker if you would like. It is always a good leaning experience and a good time. Please see the attached flier and forward to your fire service contacts. If you plan to attend or have questions please contact me at email@example.com or cal me @ 304-546-5942, or Chief Doug Estep @ 304-524-2900.
