Pendleton County Fire Training

 

The Pendleton County Training Weekend will be held Friday, August 9,
Saturday, August 10, and Sunday, August 11, 2013.

A School Flyer is attached.  Please print and post, and forward to
other email contacts.

A brief description or the Training Weekend is provided below.  Please
go to the RESA 8 website for more details.

Registration, Classes, and Lunch, will be at the Upper Tract VFD
Training Center, 11596 Petersburg Pike, Upper Tract WV 26866.

Lunch is provided to paying participants.  Snacks will be provided on
Friday evening.

A Saturday evening picnic is included for paying participants starting
at 6:30 pm.

The Battle of the Barrel competition will be hosted on Saturday
evening with teams of 3 – Helmets and Gloves will be needed.  A plaque
will be awarded to each of the 3 members of the team winning the
competition.

Cost for the school for a 1-day registration is $50, and $60 for 2-day
registration.

Applicants are encouraged to pre-register through the RESA 8 website:
www.resa8.org  From the RESA 8 home page, point to “Programs”, and
then click on “Public Service Training”.  On the left side of the
Public Service Training Page select “Regional Fire Schools”
Participants can also register on the day of the event

Junior Firefighters (Ages 16 – 18) must have a permission slip filled
out by their parents and Fire Chief.

Persons attending non-classroom hands on classes must be members of a
fire department.

Free camping with tents and limited campers/trailers (no hook ups) is

Fire Investigation, Level 2 – 16 hrs, Saturday and Sunday 8 – 5

Death in the Field Scene Management – 4 Hours, Friday evening 6 – 10

HazMat Awareness – 4 hours, Friday Evening 6 – 10

LZ Course – 2 hrs, Friday 6 – 8 pm

Saturday

Assisting the Medic – 2 hrs, 8 am – 10 am, Saturday

Basic Auto Extrication – 8 hrs, Saturday 8 – 5

Basic EKG Review / 12 & 15 Lead – 4 hrs, Saturday 8 to Noon

End Tidal CO2, & CPAP – 4 hrs, Saturday 1 – 5

OB / GYN Emergencies – 4 hrs, 1 – 5 pm, Saturday

Patient Reports to Medical Command – 2 hrs, 10 am to Noon, Saturday

Tactical Emergency Casualty Care for Law Enforcement – 8 hours, Saturday 8 – 5

Sunday

Street Gangs 101 – 4 hrs, 8 am to Noon, Sunday

Synthetic Drugs and Clandestine Methamphetamine Labs – 1 – 5 pm, Sunday

WV Mass Casualty Incident, Module 1 – 2 hours, Sunday 9-11 am

WV Mass Casualty Incident, Module 2 – 4 hrs Module 2, 1-5 pm
